Highlights from Sid’s Weekly Counts Webinar
During Sid’s June 30, 2024 weekend webinar, Sid Norris of ElliottWavePlus.com showed what a bullish wave count would look like if the S&P-500 was in the process of carving out a 5-wave non-overlapping impulse starting from the March 2020 low. Spoiler Alert: The wave 3 up from that low has a wave target of 18,500 !!!

The Stock Market is Entering 2023 at a Critical Juncture
The Stock Market Is Entering 2023 At A Critical Juncture Summary There is a cluster of three large-degree Fibonacci targets that suggest that the Dow Jones Industrial Average has not completed 5-waves up from the 1932, 1974 & 2009 lows yet. The March 2020 low was an intermediate-degree (black) wave 4 low. There are two potential ways the market can finish a 5-wave structure up from that low. Shorter-term, I’ve been tracking three potential wave counts for the S&P-500. The market could eliminate up to two of those counts during the first few weeks of the new year. Our method of combining Elliott wave and its associated Fibonacci price targets, Hurst cycle analysis, sentiment extremes, momentum, volume signatures and more provide higher confidence trading forecasts than Elliott wave theory when used alone.

What’s Driving the Markets this Year?
What’s been driving the markets this year? If your market research consists primarily of watching financial television channels, you’d swear that the Fed must be controlling all market movements like it was a puppet master! The vast majority of TV pundits will answer questions about where the market is going next with at least some mention of the Fed. Let’s look at all the Fed’s rate changes so far this year to see if they are producing consistent buy or sell signals for investors and traders.

Quarterly Premium Plan Webinar and Sortable Spreadsheet – Aug 4, 2022
We believe our sentiment condition screenshots are so amazingly valuable to traders, we wanted to spend some time showing viewers how to read those charts, and how to utilize them in your trading. These charts show DSI (retail positioning), and multiple measures of commercials (the producers/hedgers) positioning. As we all know, retail traders are notoriously positioned on the wrong side of trade at major turns. Knowing retail vs commercial is crucial when timing your trades.

All About our Improved Nightly “Sentiment Conditions” Screenshots – from Elliott Wave Plus
It’s time for the Elliott Wave Plus Quarterly Premium Plan Webinar! Our Premium Plan is best known for supplying automated trade signals on about twenty different trade-able instruments to subscribers on a nightly basis. However, our longtime Premium Plan subscribers are telling us that our new, improved nightly “Sentiment Conditions” screenshots are easily worth the price of the subscription alone. See for yourself! We’ll spend most of the time in this online seminar revealing all aspects of our new improved Sentiment Conditions nightly screenshots. We’ll show how they can help subscribers become better informed about Commercials vs. Retail sentiment positioning, and how that knowledge can be extremely valuable when making trading decisions. Time will be allotted for Q&A.

Are Interest Rates Topping? Has Inflation Peaked?
The following video clip from our April 10, 2022 Weekly Counts Webinar provide timely food for thought on those two questions. Possible conclusions are based on Elliott wave theory and its associated Fibonacci price targets, multi-decades trendlines (on semilog charts), and current sentiment conditions. Rising Interest Rates and Inflation are all over the news. Conventional expectations of the directional market reactions to news have been consistently wrong. Investors are confused and worried. It’s time to get technical. Technical analysis eliminates the worry and confusion. It ignores mainstream financial media, and their ridiculous, news-based explanations of why the market moves up and down. Elliott Wave theory, Cycle analysis and Sentiment Conditions are more important to traders and investors now than ever before. The attached video clip was recorded on Sunday, April 12, and was a small portion of Sid’s Weekly Counts Webinar for ElliottWavePlus.com subscribers (Pro Plan and up). In the video, Sid Norris examines TNX (bond yields), and TIP (Treasury Inflation Protection bonds). Are rates going to continue to skyrocket unabated? Is the aggressive inflationary period over? Additional evidence of Sentiment extremes in bonds were presented later in the webinar. Here are current screenshots of current Sentiment Conditions in the ZB contract (30yr bonds), the ZN contract (10yr bonds), and the Japanese Yen, which is historically highly correlated with bonds. These screenshots show that Commercials are expecting rates to top about now (and bonds bottom), while retail traders, who are almost always wrongly positioned at major trend changes, think that rates will continue to aggressively rise. Premium Plan subscribers receive Sentiment Conditions screenshots on many tradable items nightly. Every Wednesday and Sunday, we provide EWP Screenshots to subscribers (Basic Plan and up) on over two dozen popular trading instruments. The following are the last nine of those for the S&P-500, starting Feb 23, 2022, the day before the first shots were fired in the Russia – Ukraine war:

Dow Jones Industrial Average | Comprehensive Technical Analysis
Dow Jones Industrial Average – Comprehensive Technical Analysis Today’s video post is an excerpt of our January 2, 2022 weekly Counts webinar for Pro and Premium Plan subscribers at ElliottWavePlus.com. This excerpt consists of Sid’s highly detailed coverage of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Sid starts by showing a cluster of several long-term Fibonacci targets in the 41-44K range on the Dow. Sid explains that all this market needs to produce that grand Supercycle wave 3 top is a completed 5-wave structure up from the March 2020 low into that long-term target range. At this juncture, it appears that a 5-wave non-overlapping impulse is well underway from that March 2020 low. Hurst cycle analysis is current projecting that a major top will occur in the Dow in approximately late-May 2022. The Hurst projected top on the highly correlated S&P-500 is a little later, in late-Sept 2022.

GDX Miners Call 2021
GDX miners coverage 2021. In mid-November of 2021, there was a flood of articles being published around the internet that were extremely bullish gold, silver and the precious metals mining stocks. We know that at the time, there were also numerous self-professed Elliott Wave gurus preferring bullish wave counts. Sid’s use of Elliott Wave and Hurst allowed him to project an accurate GDX roadmap for subscribers. The key to our GDX roadmap was the expectation of a 20-week Hurst cycle PEAK in mid-November. Just as the masses were screaming “GOLD BREAKOUT!”, we were expecting a reversal.Check out the video, which is a great example of Sid’s typical weekly “counts” webinar coverage. Keep in mind, this is coverage over one specific item. Sid goes into detailed analysis on dozens of items every single week. XLE Call Then, more recently, during his August 22, 2021 weekend “Counts” webinar, Sid suggested that the correction since March in XLE had likely ended, and that large-cap oil companies should rally once again for several months, this time out of a larger 18-month Hurst cycle trough. As of today, XLE is up 31.61% from its August 19, 2021 low. The Outcome To put this into perspective, had subscribers bought $10,000 worth of XLE at the open on November 2 ($29.11), and closed that position upon the first appearance of a deeply overbought pink exhaustion stripe on our daily charts (at $52.20 open on March 10, 2021), that 10K would have turned into $17,932, a profit of $7,932. Additionally, had subscribers bought $10,000 worth of XLE at the opening price of $47.00 on August 23, and held until the first pink exhaustion stripe occurred, taking profit at $57.62 on October 22, that would have turned the $10K investment into $12,260, an additional profit of $2,260. Total profit by these two example trades? $10,192. Not too shabby! Our question for you is, if you aren’t a current subscriber, why not? The Premium Plan consists of: Nightly screenshots on over 20 trading instruments (stock index futures, commodities, currencies, bonds, etc.), showing the most recent momentum buy/sell signals, change stop to trailing indicators, and/or exit trade suggestions. Please visit ElliottWavePlus.com to see the full list of items covered. Sentiment positioning on all items that contain sentiment data. XLE Precision Timing 2021
As a reminder, during his November 1, 2020 weekend “Counts” webinar for Pro and Premium Plan subscribers, Sid Norris of ElliottWavePlus.com suggested that the large-cap Oil companies ETF: XLE would rally big for several months out of a 40-week cycle trough. XLE went on to rally from 101.52% (from 26.98 to 54.37) through March 11, 2022. See our previous YouTube video showing Sid’s call here. Gold Mining Stocks – GDX Traded with Precision Timing
On March 28, 2021, Sid published the above chart of GDX for Elliott Wave Plus Basic Plan, Pro Plan, and Premium Plan subscribers: Sid’s roadmap had GDX ready to bottom in early April, rally through late May, and then pull back sharply into a large Hurst cycle trough due in mid-August. His late-March 2021 main Elliott wave count predicted that the correction that had been underway in GDX since the early August 2020 high would eventually unfold as a WXYXZ triple zig-zag, likely ending in mid-August 2021, in harmony with the Hurst cycle analysis at the time. The chart below is a current GDX weekly (through Sept 13, 2021): This has been our challenge at Elliott Wave Plus, and we have alerted subscribers to several buying opportunities in undervalued sectors on the verge of ripping higher over the past year. We have posted YouTube videos of a couple of these timely alerts over the past year. The first was our call to buy XLE (the large cap oil companies) in late October 2020. (See the post and video here). XLE more than doubled over the following 4.5 months. At the time that we made that call, famous talking heads on financial propaganda TV were vehemently recommending avoiding the sector. The second was our call to buy stocks in the shipping sector in early November 2020. (See the post and video on the shipping sector here.) Many, many stocks in that sector have more than doubled since then as well. In both examples, the sectors were at exceptionally low junctures after being beaten down for an extended period, and almost no one was talking about them. In this post, we will show you another sector buying opportunity that we pointed out to subscribers in late March of this year. GDX (the Gold Miners ETF) has been up as much as 16+% so far since our mid-week (March 31) EWP ScreenShot (for Basic Plan and up subscribers) suggested an imminent turn to the upside. That suggestion that GDX would rally came after the precious metals sector endured seven long months of downside chop. Many of the companies in this recently neglected sector have been nicely profitable all through that multi-quarter correction, so bargain valuations have been easier to find here than in most other sectors. The question is, does this rally have legs, or is it already done? There are many technical aspects we are actively looking at for clues, including a potential bullish 1-2-1-2 wave count from the early-March low, combined with the expectation of future peak and trough dates based on Hurst cycle analysis. We will keep our subscribers aware of our projected future roadmaps on GDX in addition to many tradable items with EWP ScreenShots of our analysis every Sunday and Wednesday (Basic Plan), as well a multi-hour weekly Sunday video (Pro Plan), excerpts of which were used to produce the YouTube video featured in this post. Also shown in the attached video is a potential trade signal and associated multi-indicator setup produced by our proprietary momentum algo on GDX. Our Premium Plan provides screenshots and automated momentum trade signals on twenty popular items every night. Many of our subscribers use these nightly signals as confirmation of our proprietary analysis based on a combination of Elliott wave and its associated Fibonacci price targets, as well as Hurst cycle analysis.

Educational Course: Fibonacci Price Targets
Our friends at Elliott Wave International have allowed us to share some excellent education content with our subscribers! We are happy to share one of their most popular courses, for free. The 4-hour course teaches traders how to use Fibonacci levels to trade with more confidence. We use Fibonacci price targets extensively in our analysis to form our Elliott Wave counts, and we think you should, too. The Fibonacci sequence provides the mathematical basis of the Elliott Wave Principle. The stock market’s price pattern builds fractally into similar patterns of increasing size. Familiarity with these patterns can prove incredibly useful to investors. In the course, you’ll learn this and more: How the Golden Ratio can help you see trading opportunities. What the most important Fibonacci relationships are. How Fibonacci relationships can help add confidence to your wave count. How to project valuable time and price targets using Fibonacci dividers.

We believe that these trend charts are valuable trading tools, and everyone should be aware of them. But does that make it a perfect system? The short answer is…no. We take a look at our Daily Trend Report charts in direct comparison to our Nightly Algo trade signals. They might look similar, but the Algo signals have one major advantage. You’ll see why in the video below, which is an excerpt of the previous week’s webinar. Premium Plan subscribers receive the Nightly Algo Report every evening, as well as weekly access to Sid’s Elliott Wave “counts” webinar, bi-weekly screenshots, and the Daily Trend Report.

Exciting New Improvements to our Premium Plan Algos for Subscribers
We want to keep our most valued subscribers up to date on what is going on behind the scenes here at ElliottWavePlus.com. We are currently re-optimizing the Nightly Report’s algo trade signals to the most current 3-year backtest (6/30/17 thru 6/30/20). Initial backtesting and optimization indicates that the algos generally need to utilize larger stop-losses during recent high volatility. Our combined Elliott Wave and Hurst Cycle roadmaps suggest that higher volatility will continue to be the norm moving forward. We will be holding the Quarterly Premium Plan webinar within a few days to showcase the results of our backtests and re-optimizations. The results after utilizing larger stops thus far have been very positive and are likely to improve future automated trade signal results. We are working feverishly day and night to finish updating the algos, and should be ready for the quarterly Premium/Crypto Plan webinar very soon. Here are a couple of examples of before/after charts.

Elliott Wave Plus Informed Subscribers on Friday Morning of an Imminent Up Move in the Stock Market This Week
Elliott Wave Plus Informed Subscribers on Friday Morning of an Imminent Up Move in the Stock Market This Week As we were headed into the weekend last week (Friday, May 15), many Elliotticians and market forecasting services were content holding on to their bearish positions regarding the stock market, and specifically the S&P-500. The Fed had previously stated that more measures were likely going to be needed to pull the economy out of its current downturn, Buffett was selling off millions of dollars of shares, and talk of major department stores filing for bankruptcy flooded the news. All of which made a very bearish outlook to almost every market forecaster . . . except from us.

Has Silver Delivered An Important Message About Gold? – Gold & Silver Analysis
Gold and Silver are traditionally very highly correlated. When one moves up, the other moves up, and vice versa. They may not move the same percentages, but the directionality is typically identical. During Silver’s recent capitulation move to below 12 cents per ounce, a level last seen in Jan 2009, Gold stayed above 1450. If Silver’s “capitulation” is finished, and that idea is supported by the fact that it has already rallied 28% from that low, why would gold puke out now? And yet, those “mainstream” Elliotticians continue to be deadly bearish with their Gold wave count because they think they saw five waves down from 2011 thru 2015. The time to consider the possibility that that was not a 5-wave down structure is WAY overdue, don’t you think? Maybe it was a WXY, or WXYXZ structure. That has been my main wave count all along. Why? Hurst Cycle Analysis. My secret weapon.

Who Could Have Predicted This Huge Down Move In The Market?
On November 15, 2019, the S&P-500 reached 3120 for the first time ever. For the next 63 trading days, the S&P continued relentlessly higher, topping on Feb 19 at 3393. Just four days later, the S&P was back down to 3120, almost instantly erasing three full months of gains! Nobody could have seen that coming ahead of time, could they? We know of at least one person who did.
-
Have We Reached An Unsustainable Situation?
Gold & Bonds are typically correlated. As of this writing, that historic relationship appears to be intact. Compare that to Gold & the U.S dollar. Those two items typically move opposite (inverse) of each other. However, since mid-July 2019, they have generally been moving up and down together. Bonds, which are the most popular alternative to stock ownership in the investment world, typically move opposite of the stock market. However, ever since the start of the new year (2020), stocks, bonds, gold and the US Dollar have all been rallying together. Is this a distortion that has developed because of mid-October 2019 Fed announcement of QE? Many think so. If so however, there was a delayed reaction of 2.5 months.

Is The Stock Market Losing Upward Momentum?
The most publicized stock market indices continue to hover near all-time highs, but is this market losing momentum? The answer is YES. Examine the following multi-timeframe screenshots of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) with a standard RSI indicator on the bottom of the screen. The loss of momentum is clearly shown in the form of bearish RSI divergence.
-
Is a Dow Theory Non-Confirmation In Play?
The original Dow Theory states that the market is in an upward trend if either the industrial or transportation index advances above a previous important high and is accompanied or followed by a similar advance in the other average. For example, if the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) climbs to a new all-time high, and the Dow Jones Transportation Average (DJTA) follows suit within a reasonable period of time, the upward trend is confirmed.

When the Stock Market Goes Down, Gold Goes Up. Right?
During the Jan 19 webinar, Sid showed an intermediate-term chart of Gold and the S&P-500 Index, one overlaid upon the other. The chart clearly showed that gold and the stock market don’t always move inversely, as many seem to believe. Sometimes the two items move opposite each other, but other times they generally move together, in positive correlation. For instance, since early October 2019, the two items have generally been moving to the upside together. This video clip, taken from that January 19 weekly “Counts” webinar includes Sid’s discussion of the above myth, as well as his chart of Gold vs. the S&P. For those who believe that Gold will “save them” when the stock market crashes next, the video is worthy of consideration. Are there potential trading profits to be made on both the upside and downside of the S&P as well as Gold? Absolutely. But the two items really should be analyzed and traded independently. Bonus screenshot from the January 26 weekly webinar. Notice how highly correlated the S&P and the XAU (Gold & Silver Sector Index) have been since early October.

Trading XLE with Precision using Elliott Wave & Hurst Cycle Analysis
During our August 25, 2019 Weekly “Counts” Webinar, I showed that Hurst cycle analysis was suggesting that a rally was imminent in XLE, the large-cap Oil stock ETF, and the rally was expected to continue through mid-September 2019. XLE bottomed on August 27 and rallied over 14% through September 16. That rally was well underway when the two Saudi Oil installations were bombed by drones on Saturday, September 14. So which method of predicting trend changes was more effective? Technical analysis, or trading the news? The answer is obvious.

Trading AAPL (Apple Stock) with Precision Timing!
During the June 2 weekly webinar, Sid expected an important bottom was imminent for AAPL. That bottom came in the very next day. From there, Sid predicted a push to the upside for the rest of the month. He stated in the weekly webinar that AAPL would reach a top near the end of July. The stock peaked on July 31 and continued to meticulously follow Sid’s Elliott Wave count.

Trading the DOW with Precision Timing!

Trading Gold with Precision Timing!
In late May of 2019, while other market forecasting services were suggesting that gold would continue further to the downside, Sid was bullish. Those other forecasters remained bearish until gold broke out above the 2016 high. What good did that do anyone? Now, with gold only about 5% percent above that 2016 high, those other guys are very bearish on gold once again. Why? Because Elliott Wave theory, when used alone, is dangerously subjective. However, when Elliott Wave is combined with a dissimilar but equally robust methodology (like Hurst Cycle Analysis), a different forward roadmap often emerges.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is Up Over 1000 Points Since Monday. Did Anyone Predict This Ahead of Time?
As far as I can tell, there were precious few market prognosticators calling for an imminent rally in the stock market just prior to this week’s surge. On the contrary, virtually all article writers and market technicians were projecting the market to move lower. As it turned out, the DJIA was up over 500 points on Tuesday, and is currently up over 1000 points for the week, and it’s only Thursday (June 6). Here’s highlights of my coverage of the DJIA and the VIX from my Sunday, June 2 Weekly “Counts” Webinar:

From an Elliott Wave perspective, my top two wave counts are shown. The alternate (shown with question marks) is that an intermediate degree (black) wave 5 to the upside commenced at the December 24 low.

How To Spot Fake Financial News
Wouldn’t it be nice to see a financial news report that simply reported the facts? For instance, the following would be an example of accurate reporting: “The stock market was down X percent today.” But the following is how financial media always reports the news: “The stock market was down X points today on {insert a rationale here}.” Stating ANY REASON for movements in the stock market is more than suspect. It is the perfect example of fake news.

Is Gold’s Historical Correlation with the Australian Dollar and Swiss Franc Predictive?
Is Gold’s Historical Correlation with the Australian Dollar and Swiss Franc Predictive? Historical Price movement in Gold is quite similar to price action in the Australian Dollar, especially since late-2008. Gold is also highly correlated with the Swiss Franc, especially since mid-2013. Recently, notice that during Gold’s April-August plunge, the Swiss Franc moved sideways. Then, in mid-August, the Swiss Franc stopped basing and started moving strongly to the upside. Gold has also moved upward since mid-August, although it has lagged the Swiss Franc in aggressiveness. Now let’s look at the AUD/USD currency pair from an Elliott Wave and Hurst Cycles perspective, first on a weekly chart.

New Gold is one of the holdings in the two most popular gold mining ETF’s, GDX and GDXJ. Its annual revenue is currently about $725 million. Let’s examine a chart of NGD starting at the 2011 high from a technical point of view.

Carnage in the Currency Markets – Is It Over Yet?
The recent “trade war” continues to show itself in numerous unusually aggressive price movements in the currency markets. Huge, fast movements in currencies profoundly affects all markets, but most of all commodities. Trader sentiment hits rare extremes, and quite simply, there is blood in the streets. Lets take a peak at just a few currencies to see if there are any technical reasons that suggest an end to the recent carnage.
-
Charting the Effects of the Trade War
The recent “trade war” appears to have triggered several aggressive price movements in the financial markets. The most obvious reactions are in tariffed commodities like soybeans and lean hogs. But, there are other recent price movements, specifically in the currency market that appear most likely to have been caused by direct government and/or central bank intervention. These currency interventions have affected, at least in the short term, the pricing in numerous commodities, some more than others.

There’s an FOMC meeting and announcement next week. What’s the likely market reaction in silver?
My work as a market technician is generally based on the premise that markets move based on technical aspects derived from prior price action. However, very large players with an agenda (ie: central banks around the globe) are actively involved in the markets. Can looking at both the technical and the influence of the FED provide greater insight into market forecasts? Let’s take a look.

10-Year Treasury Yields Have “Broken Out” to a New Multi-Year High. Will Yields Continue Higher?
Yesterday’s market jolt, according to the talking heads on financial propaganda TV was due to 10-year treasury yields “breaking out” above their Dec 2013 high. I’m sure this slight new high invalidated a few Elliott Wave counts, and “confirmed” a few others.

The Current State of the US Stock Market, the US Dollar, and Gold. A free blog post by Sid Norris of ElliottWavePlus.com
The S&P-500: The January rise in the US stock market went parabolic before topping on January 26. The 11.84% drop over the next 2 weeks (thru February 9) carved out a clear 5-wave impulse to the downside. The recovery so far appears to be choppy, overlapping, and corrective. From an Elliott Wave perspective, the aggressive move down thru Feb 9 is therefore very likely to be a wave 1 of a new downtrend, or a wave A within a 4th wave zigzag. Therefore, another 5-wave wave structure to the downside, taking out the Feb 9 low of 2532.69 would be a high probability expectation. Also possible within Elliott Wave theory is that the drop from Jan 26 thru Feb 9 was wave A within a wave 4 triangle. Only 4 of the 5 legs of a triangle are required to be a zigzag or zigzag combination. One of the legs can be something else, including a 5-wave impulse.

What’s Next for the US Dollar? (by Sid Norris of ElliottWavePlus.com)
The US Dollar has been quite weak since the beginning of last year. Will it continue to weaken? The monthly chart below shows my long-time main Elliott Wave count for the US Index, an unfinished ending contracting diagonal starting at the 1985 high. This wave count correctly expected the US Dollar to top near a .618 retacement of the downward wave from July 2001 through March 2008. That top came in early January 2017, and the Dollar has surprised many by moving strongly lower ever since. Hurst cycle analysis also correctly projected that top, and from a long-term perspective is quite bearish the Dollar moving forward, potentially all the way to the year 2027.

An Important Large-Cap Gold-Mining Stock (ABX) is Still Searching for a Bottom
Gold, Silver and Platinum were up big again on a “Fed” day yesterday, a recurring motif in recent quarters. Yesterday’s bounce was fairly large, especially in many of the large and mid-cap precious metals mining stocks. I’ve been projecting for a long time that a large cycle trough was due near year-end 2017, so is the bottom in on precious metals or not? Let’s take a look.

Thoughts on the Current State of the Stock Market (and other stuff) – A blog post by Sid Norris from ElliottWavePlus.com
Without further ado, here are the current combined Hurst projections on several items of interest: 1) US Stock Market: a major top in late 2017 is expected, to be followed by an ABC correction through the year 2024. (And no, I haven’t called the top yet like those super blogging, email blasting, google search manipulators! (-:) From an Elliott Wave perspective, the 5-wave impulse up from the March 2009 low is likely to end soon, though. That bull market will have lasted about 8.5 years, so even if the 2009-2017 bull was a very bullish cycle-degree wave 1 (my main count), a multi-year (cycle-degree) correction would be next.

The top is likely in on the Euro, and therefore a bottom in the US Dollar. Huge ramifications . .

EUR/USD update – one more slight new high is possible, but a major trend change looms . .

Elliott Wave Analysis – Russell 2000 Index – Daily Candles. A lesson on how the MACD can assist in developing wave counts . .
Here’s my detailed Elliott Wave count of the Russell 2000 index since the July 6, 2010 low. Notice how the MACD assists in developing the wave counts by pinpointing the wave 3’s along the way. EUR/USD – March 2, 2011 – Daily Candles. The bullish pink (minute) wave 3 finally gets going . .
The EUR/USD currency pair finally got legs today, and broke through a key resistance line at 1.38631 (ask). This is the behavior I’ve been looking for to confirm my long term Elliott Wave count (see http://elliottwavepre.wpengine.com/?p=260). EUR/USD – February 23, 2011 – weekly candles. Here’s my revised long term count for the Euro . .
Here is my slightly revised longer term count for the Euro. The key to this new count is the re-labeling of the upward price action from June 5, 2010 through October 30, 2010 as a five wave impulse, and therefore re-labeling it as minor wave A (blue). This new count therefore calls for current price action to continue up in […]

$SPX – February 13, 2011 – monthly candles. Middle of Cycle wave 3 of Supercycle wave 5 up . . .
There are constant rumblings from many of the trading blogs regarding the underlying internal weakness accompanying the incessant rise of the US stock market since March of 2009, and especially since July 2010. The explanation for this may may be as simple as one of the Elliott Wave guidelines of wave personality: fifth waves are by nature, weaker in breadth than third waves. The above chart is […]

EUR/USD – February 5, 2011 – weekly candles. Here’s my preferred “big picture” count on the Euro: Leading Diagonal . .
This is my preferred longer term count for the Euro: a bearish leading diagonal for Primary (burgandy) wave 1. Each wave of the diagonal appears to be a zigzas, so, inside intermediate (black) wave 5 down, I believe we’ve seen Minor (blue) waves A and B complete. All thats left is five Minute (pink) waves down for Minor wave C (blue), eventually reaching the […]
